The Tees Valley Performance Hub has been established for athletes and coaches within clubs in Tees Valley. The hub aims to provide athletes who do not meet the criteria for the Sunderland Beacon programme with the opportunity to access supplementary training sessions additional to those which are currently offered within their club. Within the sessions, athletes will have the opportunity to train with others who are at the same or slightly higher ability level. They will also have the opportunity to be coached by different coaches from within the area.
The Tees Valley Performance Hub aims to provide opportunities for swimmers at a range of levels and have therefore started the programme focusing on Youth and Age Group swimmers. The long term view of the hub is to run training camps and stroke clinics for those outside of the initial hub selection criteria to ensure all clubs within Tees Valley have the opportunity to access the additional sessions. All coaches from within all of the clubs in Tees Valley have an open invite to attend any of the hub training sessions regardless of whether or not they have a swimmer attending the session. All coaches from within Tees Valley also have an open invite to access any of the Continued Professional Development (CPD) opportunities offered through the hub.
For more information on the hub, please read through the terms of reference below for the 2016 - 2017 or speak to your coach or a member of the committee within your club: pdf Tees Valley Hub Terms of Reference 2016-2017. (207 KB)

Each swimmer selected onto the hub programme will receive a FREE hub hat and additional hats can be purchased for £6 from the hub coaches at hub training sessions.
