Tynemouth ASC members are aiming to make the biggest splash of their lives - by swimming their way to a new world record. One hundred swimmers - aged from 9-48 - will take the plunge in a bid to enter the record books by each swimming 50 metres in Tynemouth Pool.
They are now preparing for their world record attempt that will take place on Saturday 13 December.
For further details about Tynemouth ASC, which is open to swimmers of all ages and abilities, visit the club website: tynemouthasc.co.uk
This is a free drop-in workshop which is an informative, interactive and great opportunity for clubs to complete the more challenging elements or start the swim 21 process.
On Sunday 8th December, David Parry and Dan Ramm attended the North East Regional Short Course Championships in Sunderland. During their time at the Championships they spoke to coaches and club members about the support available from the North East Region and ASA for aquatic development within the North East. Members of staff from the North East team will be attending both the Northumberland & Durham and Yorkshire Championships next year so please look out for their stand at the competitions.
Thanks to everyone who came and chatted to Dan and David and we hope to chat to more of you soon!
