A free course for all qualified or trainee officials at any level on Wednesday 15th April 2015 from 6.45pm until 9.15pm at Sunderland Aquatic Centre, Stadium Park, Sunderland, Tyne & Wear, SR5 1SU.
Officials needing to re-licence need to have taken part in a Contemporary Issues CPD within 4 years of the expiry date of their licence. This is an opportunity to get this qualification up-to-date.

Young Volunteers between the ages of 15 and 18 from clubs across Yorkshire took part in a Young Volunteer Development Day on Saturday 21st March at Barnsley Sports Academy, Barnsley College.
The day included Team Manager and Club Captain training plus the attributes required when volunteering. The young adults represented a cross section of clubs from across the region including Adwick, Beverley Barracudas, Cleethorpes and District, City of Bradford, Borough of Kirklees, Dewsbury, Halifax, Kingston Upon Hull, Stocksbridge and Tadcaster. Candidates were encouraged to take advantage of the volunteering opportunities available within their clubs by developing their skills within an aquatic environment.
The development day formed part of the ASA Leading the Lane initiative to deliver training opportunities for young people, increase the number of trained young people and improve the accessibility of both formal and informal training opportunities.
The series of World Class Swim Camps have been carefully designed by Olympians Adam Faulkner and Chris Cook to cover all skills, drills, techniques and tips for competitive swimmers to gain the edge over the competition. The camps are themed and provide any swimmer, serious about improving their competition skills, the opportunity to give attention to detail to their swimming skills.

The Gemma Yates Memorial Trophy is an award is for Endeavour. For a synchronised swimming competitor who has had to overcome or cope with great difficulties. Each club competing at National or Regional level are invited to nominate a swimmer or and athlete who has shown endeavour over the previous twelve months.
All nominations should be forwarded to Anne Clark and the closing date for nominations is Monday 20th April 2015. The award will be presented in Gloucester on Sunday 3rd May at the National Synchronised Swimming Championships.
