The National Deaf Children's Society and the ASA have teamed up to create the Deaf-Friendly I-Learn course to help coaches become more deaf aware. The accredited course is easy to complete and free of charge. This is available from Monday 3 March and will be delivered through the IOS - click here

Last year's awards were very successful and out of the three clubs were allowed to nominate, two were shortlisted with one of them going on to win the Volunteer Management Award. This year clubs can nominate themselves therefore as many clubs as want to can enter. Closing date for applications is 4th May and winners presented in July.

Tyne and Wear Sport have today launched the Club Bursary Scheme with the aim of providing clubs with the opportunity to increase and retain new participants and improve the current situation within their club.
Grants of between £100 and £500 will be available with a specific focus on providing clubs with the opportunity to purchase;
Equipment – for example, balls, bibs, tennis racquets, mats, team strips (not individual clothing),
Marketing material – for example, banners, flyers, pull up/pop up advertising
